Etchings

I make etchings on copper plates. These are created using an acid to bite into the plate where I want the lines or darker areas to be. Then I put sticky etching ink on the plate and wipe it. The ink sticks in the places where the acid bit the plate. I print the plate on a hand-operated etching press, which has heavy rollers to squeeze the ink onto the paper. I work at East London Printmakers, in Stepney, east London.

My etchings are for sale. Please contact me to find out what’s available. Mostly they are about A5 size. Many of them are printed to work as greetings cards. They also work as pictures. These are all hand-done prints as described above, not digital reproductions.
