About

I sketch in London and elsewhere. This site is a collection of my drawings and prints. My drawings are done on location, using pen and ink and watercolour. I also create prints by hand using etched copper plates, or woodcuts.

I am very keen that my images be used. I like to get them out there in the world. So if you have a use for any of my images, please contact me via the contact page or leave a comment. Most of the etchings are about A5 size or smaller, so I can send you an original. The drawings and watercolours are generally in sketchbooks. I can send you a high quality digital image, or a digital print.

Here are some examples of how my work has been used:

If you use an image downloaded from this website, please credit JaneSketching.com, and let me know. For a printed publication, please ask me for a higher quality image.

I’m always on the lookout for interesting subjects, so please contact me if you’d like me to have a go at the view from your office window, or if you’d like me to try to draw your building, or put it in an etching.

My thoughts about why I draw are on the page “About my Sketching”

My drawing tools are described on the page “Drawing tools”.  See my paintboxes on this page: Paintboxes.

I was invited to write a piece about my drawings on board “Lady of Avenel”. Here’s my draft: “The Swimming Artist”

Please let me know your comments, requests and suggestions. My contact information is on the contact page, or leave a comment below.

I constructed this website using WordPress with the “TwentySixteen” theme. If you find errors or broken links, I’d be very grateful if you’d let me know.
