Here are some sketches of Orkney, made during a visit earlier this month.
This is Stromness:
Looking towards the ferry terminal Looking towards the Double Houses Alfred Street, Stromness The Double Houses “Norland”, 10 South End, Stromness.
The seascapes and light were magnificent.
The island of Hoy Looking across the Pentland Firth Stromness Harbour and Hoy, from the top of the hill Hoy, in the evening
St Magnus Cathedral in Kirkwall is awe-inspiring.
